Alex Olsen is a computer programmer at ALH Computing. He first appears in A Local Habitation.
Biography[]
Alex is charismatic and attractive. When he is romantically interested in someone, he actively uses his Gean-Cannah abilities to seduce them, even without their consent or without realising it.
He is twins with Terrie, and their Gean-Cannah abilities mean they are two souls in the same body: Alex exists during the day, and Terrie exists at night.

A Local Habitation[]
Alex meets Toby when she hits him with a door. He is gracious and charming, and Toby is quickly smitten although Quentin just as quickly takes a disliking to him. He escorts Toby to Jan's office, flirting on the way and challenging Toby to figure out his faerie race.
He continues to flirt when he visits her hotel with breakfast the next day, and they make out on the bed. When Connor arrives at ALH, he too gives Alex the cold shoulder.
Alex tricks Toby into going off alone with him. They kiss for a bit, but when she tries to stop things he persists. He tries to take advantage of her using his abilities, but she senses his magic and pushes him away. Tybalt nearly beats him up when he learns of the encounter.
When Jan goes missing, Alex searches for hours with the rest of the employees and only alerts Toby when considerable time has passed.
Elliot doesn't forewarn Alex when he brings Toby to see him transform into Terrie at dusk. Alex becomes upset and nervous but cannot stop the reveal, which also leads Toby to identify his fae race.
When Terrie is killed, they take her to the basement and wait. Her corpse transforms to a seemingly-dead Alex when dawn arrives. Toby ad libs a blood ritual to bring Alex back to life, saying that his body only thinks that it is dead. From here on out, Alex "dies" with each dusk that turns him into Terrie, and painfully comes "back to life" with every return of the dawn.
